Vivian Haidas
Welcome! My name is Vivian Haidas and I am the owner and designer at Texture and Tone Interiors.
I am a 1st generation American, both my parents immigrated from Greece. As many immigrants do, they made a life for me and my sister with modest means adhering to a very tight budget.
My mom has taught me the value of being frugal. She is always seeking out the sale or waiting for the end of the season. Her real gift is in finding something that looks or is expensive at a fraction of the cost.
My dad taught me the value of creating. As a former cobbler, he worked with his hands, and if you give him a piece of wood, fabric or leather, he can make most anything you dream up.
My parents taught me that design is accessible to all. Everyone deserves a home they love and that reflects their personality, because your home is your sanctuary.
I love design. I love creating spaces and adding texture, playing with tone, figuring out just the right elements to make spaces both unique and completely your own. I look forward to collaborating with you and making spaces that truly reflect your style!
Inspiration
I have always been a lover of the arts. I’m the person that seeks out the exhibition, the concert, the theatre performance, both locally and when I’m visiting somewhere else and I feel it’s how I experience places and these experiences really bring out my own creativity.
I love to travel whether by car, bus, plane or boat. When I travel I have two things I truly enjoy doing, walking because that’s how I feel I get to know a place and meeting new people. I gain great joy and inspiration from the places that I visit and the people that I meet.
Barcelona
I recently traveled to Barcelona with my family and I got to know the city a bit primarily by walking through it. The architecture is truly awe-inspiring. There is a sense of grandeur and timelessness. The people are approachable with singular style. I love the mix of old and new. I left inspired in my own design process.
